All universities in New Zealand aim to contribute to the educational and economic aspirations of Pacific people both within the country and in the wider Pacific region.
Pacific student support
All universities have dedicated Pacific student support and liaison roles who help Pacific students and their families during their time at university. There are also services designed specifically to help with learning – academic mentoring, study sessions, exam preparation sessions.
Pacific scholarships
Across the universities there are scholarships for Pacific students. Scholarships are available at all levels of study and based on a variety of criteria.

Tauira Pasifika – Pasifika student associations
Every university also has Pacific student groups that represent the interests of Pacific students on campus. They often hold a range of events – social, cultural and academic. Taking part is a great way to make new friends and get involved in activities on campus.
